DECAL releases COVID-19 guidance for Georgia Childcare Facilities

On Wednesday, August 19th, state agencies released COVID-19 guidance for Georgia childcare facilities. The Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL) and the Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) joined together to develop the guidelines, which cover everything from drop-off/arrival, food preparation and meal service, to how and where to report confirmed cases of COVID-19 in child care programs.

The official press release for this joint venture can be viewed on our downloads page here, as well as, the following website.

Pam Stevens, Deputy Commissioner of Child Care Services, stated that the new COVID-19 guidelines will be distributed to child care programs through e-mail and posted to DECAL’S COVID-19 page on their website at www.decal.ga.gov, where parents can also access the information.
