Fund Reauthorization

On November 19, 2014, President Obama signed the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) Act of 2014 into law.  This reauthorization extends funding through 2020, and affected requirements for states receiving CCDF money, and this includes Georgia.  Fortunately, Georgia is ahead of the curve on many of these requirements.  One new requirement that you will see is the development and check of a state child abuse and neglect registry.  This change, along with other requirements, should have a positive impact on the health and safety of the children we care about and serve.  For more information, visit the Administration for Children and Families Office of Child Care CCDF Reauthorization webpage.
