Participants will sharpen their skills in lesson planning and documentation to support the needs of their children and to align with the Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS).

This training introduces early learning workforce professionals to the Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS) by explaining what the standards are, why we use them, and their relationship to developmentally appropriate practice. It provides an overview of the organizational structure and language of the GELDS.

This 2-hour interactive virtual workshop helps preschool and toddler teachers translate developmentally-appropriate standards into daily, playful curriculum that centers children’s culture and curiosity. Participants leave with prototype lesson structures, observable learning outcomes, and assessment tools they can use the very next day.
