Greetings Farm to ECE Coalition!

The sign up for this year’s October Farm to School Month campaign is now open! Sign up today to receive access for an online toolkit filled with turnip-themed activities, standards-based lessons, recipes, and more. The first 300 individuals to sign up will be mailed seeds, washable tattoos, and our school garden planting and harvest calendar. Can you dig it? You can participate in Turnip the Volume by signing up at bit.ly/turnipthevoume.

To kick off October Farm to School Month this year, the GA Farm to ECE Coalition will be launching a free webinar series starting Wednesday, September 30 at 3 p.m. with Turnip the Volume on Sensory Education.  All educators, new and seasoned, are invited to join in for a hands-on exploration of what farm to school is and how it can serve educators and students now more than ever. Participants will leave equipped with October Farm to School Month resources to get started right away! There will be a demo on how to do a simple taste test, a food-based literacy lesson, and how hands-on, food-based education can hit science, math, language arts, and social studies standards, as well as incorporate the arts! Register here to join in on the fun.
